About

cNibbles is a curses based version of the old nibbles game (also known as snake). Your object is to control the worm and help it eat apples distributed on the playing area.

What's New

May 28, 2010 -- New bugfix version (v2.0.1) available. Fixes an issue with the score always being reported as 0 or 1.

October 31, 2003 -- New version (v2.0.0) available. Version 2 includes replays and better user interface. Also the worm always grows with time.

August 25, 2003 -- A new version is beening worked on, mayor changes in this version will be replays, and better user interface.

July 12, 2003 -- Site is up and files are posted on sourceforge. Version 1.0 is feature complete and has been branched off in its own CVS module for maintains only.

Here you can download cNibbles. If no binary is provided for your platform you have to get the sources and compile cNibbles yourself. If you want the bleeding edge development version of cNibbles you can check it out from the CVS repository at sorceforge.

Game Play

Use the arrow keys (h,j,k,l alternatively) to move the worm. The m and z keys can be used for relative movement. The q key quits the game and the p key pauses the game.
